Best Restaurants in Glasgow

13/05/2016 Off By Emma Gray

Whenever I’m not travelling, and I’m spending some time at home working I like to eat out in Glasgow. Glasgow’s got some fantastic restaurants so I wanted to share my round-up of the best restaurants Glasgow has to offer (in my humble opinion!)…

Best Grill: The Grill on the Corner

Steak Grilling

It’s a place I go to eat once every couple of weeks with friends. It has a great atmosphere, chic decor and absolutely delicious food. It’s most famous for it’s steaks, which are amazing, but I also have a major soft spot for their fajitas. They also serve great cocktails, which you can enjoy with your meal, or before or after dinner in their comfortable bar area. Trust me, their cocktails are amazing!

Best for Tapas: Cafe Andaluz

Spanish Tapas

It’s an absolute favourite tapas spot in Glasgow that I head to whenever I’m missing Spain a little too much and need a taste of their amazing cuisine. They have two restaurants in Glasgow, one in the city centre and one in the west end, and the west end restaurant is my favourite. With authentic style Spanish interior decor and mouth-watering tapas, all it’s missing is some Spanish sunshine!

Best Mexican: Bibi’s

Mexican Food

An intimate mexican cantina style restaurant in the west end of Glasgow. It has only a few tables and is always booked up well in advance, and with good reason. The food is some of the best mexican cuisine I’ve ever had, and the margaritas are delicious too!

Best Luxury: Chardon d’Or

Creme Brûlée

My favourite restaurant in Glasgow and it’s my go-to place if i have something special to celebrate, or if I’m just feeling a bit flash. Scottish chef Brian Maule was trained in France and returned to Scotland to make use of our fresh, local produce in his dishes. The atmosphere in the restaurant is sophisticated, yet relaxed and it’s the perfect setting to accompany the delicious food and wine on offer. They also do a pretty amazing Creme brulee…

Best Burgers: Bread Meats Bread

Burger

You simply can’t come to Glasgow and not try one of the amazing burgers from Bread Meats Bread. It’s located right in the city centre and they have a new restaurant opened on Great Western Road too! It’s so well priced for the amazing quality burgers and sides – make sure to try the poutine as well, a taste of Canada in Glasgow. You’ll regret not hitting this place up!

This is just a selection of my favourite restaurants in Glasgow. There are many more that I love, and I’m always on the look out for new, exciting places to go. If you’ve been to Glasgow before, or even live here, and have great restaurant recommendations I’d love to find them in the comments below!
